Chocolate Dips
Ingredients:
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup shortening (soft)
- 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup uncooked quick rolled oats
For topping:
- Semisweet chocolate chips
- Milk
- Nonpareils
Instructions:
- Heat oven to 325 degrees
- Mix shortening, sugar, and vanilla until creamy
- Add flour, mix
- Mix in oats–will be stiff
- Shape into crescents
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 25-30 minutes, or until bottoms start to get golden
- Melt chocolate with milk, dip half and sprinkle on nonpareils
