Russian Tea Cakes (Snowballs)

Yields: 4 dozen

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of butter (2 sticks)
  • 1/2 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cup sifted flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cups finely chopped nuts

Instructions:

  1. Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla
  2. Mix in flour and salt
  3. Stir in nuts
  4. Chill for at least 1 hours
  5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  6. Create 1-inch balls on an ungreased pan
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes
  8. While warm, roll in more¬†confectioners’ sugar
